This guy had a bad experience – like many of us do if walking around where the ladyboys run the streets. There are a few places that I don’t particularly like to walk because I KNOW I’ll be accosted and hands trying to go through my pockets. I have come very close to belting a ladyboy in the mouth. Rather than go to jail and pay for reconstructive surgery to her/his face – I resisted everytime. I don’t blame someone that does it though. Ladyboys are men. Men going through your pockets. It is criminal, and it’s something that we as tourists shouldn’t let happen. A few aggressive ladyboy theives busted in the mouths might make for a better experience for hundreds of thousands of guys in Pattaya that this happens to on a yearly basis.

Dear Editor,
I am writing in response to a letter you published by Mr Michael Griller. I would just like to say to Mr Griller that whilst I have not studied the ladyboy situation in Pattaya, I have however experienced the harassment they can cause.

I object to being attacked by one of these confused people as I simply make my way back to my hotel after a night out!

I was fortunate in that I managed to fend off this unprovoked attack, but it was not thanks to the watching baht-bus drivers and motorcycle taxi drivers who were close by and quite happy to watch it all happen.

Anyway that’s me finished with Pattaya, I will not be coming back here again. All the good memories I had of Thailand have been removed after this one incident, and I feel sorry for all the good people of Pattaya of which I know there are many who I will not have the pleasure of seeing in the future.

I’ve not had a bad experience in over a year, but I am not living anywhere near where the ladyboy thieves congregate – which is typically at the beaches in Pattay and Patong. During late night hours they are ravenous like wolves and will stalk guys walking alone! It’s happened to me MANY times in Patong and Pattaya!

Anyway – I’ll try to detail these crimes as they happen on this site as well as bring up more from the past that have happened. There’s been some good ones over the years.
