Thai Ladyboys – Katoeys

Another poor schlep hit rock bottom as he was robbed by a ladyboy in Pattaya as he slept – apparently (he thinks) the victim of a drug mixed with his drink to render him unconscious.

Does ANY farang in Pattaya read the news or listen to anybody about this same scenario going down every few DAYS? Don’t accept a drink from a Katoey. Don’t accept a drink from a bargirl. This same week – 4 Indian guys were robbed of 200,000+ baht of valuables ($5,000+ dollars) because ALL FOUR OF THEM TOOK DRINKS from their dates back at their room – they all passed out – and all lost a hell of a lot of stuff.

Think just a little bit people.

Are there only idiots in Pattaya? That’s been my idea for a number of years now and I’ve seen little to counter that. In fact, I’m going to go against my good judgment and generalize a bit…

I’d say that if you combined the IQ’s of all foreigners living in Pattaya or visiting Pattaya minus out the women, and average it – You’re going to get a number sub 90 points.

The victim of this ladyboy, Mr. Daniel Nowkel aged 20 (but looks 40)  explained to reporters that he picked-up the tranny on Walking Street and hit a hotel with her.

He lost a watch, cash, mobile and even his own passport.

Who makes up these titles? Is there even one native English speaker in the group that can say – uhm, hey – that makes no sense at all…

Apparently not.

There was a swimsuit competition of 30 Thai ladyboys in Pattaya. I caught some of it on TV last night. There were a number of katoeys that looked heaps better than the 20 year old girl that won (#13). How she won – I won’t guess.

Ladyboys are really funny to watch strut around… it’s a game to them sure, but it’s still so funny to see them prancing around like little princesses.

I’ve been mulling over one more way that you can tell a Thai ladyboy from a Thai girl more easily than sticking your hands down her pants.

I think I’m going to guess that Thai ladyboys smoke more often than the Thai girls do. That’s something that’s easier to see in a place like Udonthani in the north where there aren’t so many female sex workers – but a ton of ladyboys… it’s more difficult in a place like Pattaya where quite a few girls will smoke too.

Just a guess – anyone think differently?

This story from the UK. Not sure why I didn’t see anything here in Thailand about it. Nobody got the story for some reason, but then it does say the family paid for news announcements to be shown. Hmm.

A gang of ladyboys busted into a salesman’s home in Pattaya, beat up and bound the grandmother and stole a lot of things from the family: Rings, cash, and mobile phone.

British grandmother beaten and robbed by gang of Thai ‘ladyboy’ transvestites

A grandmother told today how she was bound, beaten and robbed by a gang of “ladyboys” while on holiday in Thailand.

Brenda Davies, 64, was visiting her son at the beach resort of Pattaya when she was tied up, gagged and mugged in front of her daughter-in-law’s two young children.

She said two of the gang were known locally as ladyboys – transsexuals working as dancers and prostitutes in the area.

The robbers burst into the home of her son Russell, 40, and his wife Imelda, and bound Mrs Davies’s face, wrists and ankles with parcel tape.

The attackers made off with nine rings – including her late husband’s wedding ring – her cash and mobile phone.

Mrs Davies, from Horfield, Bristol, said: “I couldn’t see or breathe when they wrapped the parcel tape around my head.

“They tied me up and threw me on the ground and chucked a mattress on top of me. They then hit me about the head while they took my jewelery.

“I’m still shaken up and frightened of anyone walking behind me.

“I’m lucky to be alive and am only here today because I managed to bite hole in the parcel tape over my mouth so I could breath.”

Her son works as a salesman in the country, but she said she would never go back.

Pattaya police have yet to make any arrests in connection with the incident, despite the family paying for a television appeal to catch the criminals.

Outrageous! Will Thai ladyboys stop at nothing to have their yaba (crystal meth) drug money?

Will the Thai police continue to remain virtually ineffective at curtailing this kind of thing before it happens?

Will Thai ladyboys beat up toddlers next?

Will farangs continue to invite their families to visit Pattaya, the “black hole of Thailand” instead of go to respectable places… like… uhm, Ubon Ratchathani?

All these questions and more in posts to follow…. because unfortunately I have no answers. Why in the hell someone would invite their family to Pattaya – I can’t comprehend.

This story almost got away from me too as usually there’s a headline including the word ladyboy, katoey, or shemale – something to let me know. This one didn’t have it.

Anyway – a swiss guy had his wallet taken and suspected these two azz-monkeys in Pattaya. He chased them and turned them into police. BOTH of them.

A German guy tried to sweet talk a 16 year old prostitute (female) at the beach. She refused him. Jesus – what’s that like to be refused by a prostitute in Pattaya? I’m not sure I’ve EVER heard of such a thing… anyway…

So the guy figures – it’s late, I’m gonna take what I want. He grabbed her in an intimate spot. If you see the photos you’ll be able to easily guess WHERE he grabbed the girl as a couple things stick out prominently.  Again, have I EVER seen such a thing in Thailand?  Maybe not like that….

So, a Thai ladyboy saw the guy and went over to fight with the German guy. At some point the ladyboy pulled a beach umbrella pole out of the ground and whacked him in the head with it. He bled a lot and went to sleep. Police came. Story was told. Nothing happened to the 16 year old prostitute – it’s illegal here believe it or not. How did they know she was a prostitute?

Pattaya… will it ever get better?

Sure it will – when the Tourism Authority of Thailand starts getting visitors that used to go to Hawaii and spend BIG money, showing up in Pattaya for all the high-end things to do… yeah right.
