Thailand’s Ladyboys Hurting for $

Thai ladyboys are going through a rough time right now. Thailand is suffering from low visitor numbers due to a couple of political issues affecting the country, as well as an almost schizophrenic handling of visa/immigration issues in the country.

On one hand immigration officials decide to offer free visas to tourists for a number of months during the slow season. On the other hand they turn around and cut in half the number of days one can stay with a visa on arrival to just 15 days.

Ladyboys, like bar girls at the tourist areas of Patong Beach, Pattaya, Patpong, Nana Plaza, and Soi Sukumvit, are getting desperate for cash. Robberies seem to be on the increase especially in Pattaya. But, maybe that’s just business as usual there during the slow season when nobody is making much cash.

Thailand is hoping for a good year in 2010. There are a number of incentives in place to lure tourists back but really the state of the nation depends heavily on some sort of political stability – or at least the appearance of it.

Red shirt rallies have begun again. Ex prime minister Thaksin Shinawatra has gotta be missing his couple billion dollars (usd) at this point and must be planning something big to be able to return to the country and fark it up more than he already has. Trouble is – and this is good news – the red shirts that were part of the debacle in Pattaya just a few short months ago during the ASEAN summit have lost a lot of face in the country. They’ve lost some of their smarter supporters too.

Can Thai red shirts keep going… protesting until there is an election and the current prime minister steps aside for the democratic process to take place?

All remains to be seen as we get into the 2nd half of 2009. Ladyboys are hoping for a stable end of the year before the October tourist season gets into full swing.

Thailand Economy Turning Ladyboys Rabid

Rabid is a term for animals that come down with rabies infection. It can make the animals mad – crazy and they do all sorts of wacky things.

Thailand’s ladyboy community is turning into something resembling this state after the crushing blow to tourism has turned the usual pay for play areas into something resembling a zombie film.

There are hordes of heroin and yaba (crystal meth) addicted ladyboys roaming around Patong Beach, Pattaya, and Bangkok looking for someone’s blood to suck. They are ravenous at this point. The bargirls that usually have dates always have more than the ladyboys. Now, when the bargirls don’t even have dates it’s slim farking pickings for the ladyboys who must resort to zombie walks for kilometer after kilometer to find a willing participant in their naughtiness. Then, to get said participant to actually pony up some CASH for the naughtiness is almost a futile effort and ladyboys are starving in the streets.

It’s rumored that you can now find 7 ladyboys for the price of what 1 used to be last high season.

Don’t delay – come to Thailand quickly if ladyboys are your passion. You can’t go wrong in this buyer’s market. There’s more penis than you can shake a stick at on Soi Katoey or anywhere in Pattaya, but focused on Soi 6.

Ladyboy Mayor in the USA News

A ladyboy was elected mayor in a small town in the state of Oregon.

I noticed – he has a set of tatas now… Apparently there is a liberal group of folks in that town. Or, just maybe they wanted to put their tiny town on the map for some reason. Ladyboys can do that for ya.

Meet Your New Village Chief: Ladyboy Choochat Dulayapraphatsorn

In Samut Prakan they’ve made history by appointing the first ladyboy village chief ever.

The newly appointed is now district chief of Tai Ban Mai village in Samut Prakan just about 30 km north of Bangkok, Thailand.

He/she goes by the name “Sister KOB”. Is that name appropriate or what? Like corn on the cob you know? Man the more I think about that I LOVE that name.

Choochat stated that he thought he won the election because he had a good record of serving the community including crime prevention and catching pythons (huge snakes) that have entered people’s homes among other good deeds.

“I’m confident that everyone here loves and accepts me,” Choochat told the Bangkok Post. “Even though I am a transvestite, I can do hard, physical jobs just as well as men if not better,” he added.

So there you have it. I’m not sure I could see this happening stateside. Of course the voters wouldn’t likely vote a transsexual into office either. Maybe it’s been done already? I really should research that…

Separate “Hoang Naam” (Restroom) for Thai Ladyboys in School

In Isaan there is a secondary school that created a ladyboy restroom for students after a survey of students found 200 ladyboys out of 2600 students! That’s almost 8% of the school’s population! If we generalize that to the population of Thailand that would mean there are around 5 MILLION THAI LADYBOYS in Thailand. Is that possible? I think possible, yes. Likely – no. I think there must be a million though – a very sizable amount!

The ladyboy toilet is marked by a sign on the door – half man in blue and half woman in red. Apparently nobody questions kids at the entrance to the facilities to ascertain if they’re man-woman-or ladyboy. Maybe they should.

I’m unclear by the article if “Kampang” is the name of the school or the city this school is in. Do they mean, Kamphaengphet, a city about 360 km east of Bangkok?

Apparently this is not the first instance of ladyboy designated restrooms… a tech school in Chiang Mai created a “Pink Lotus” restroom for fifteen of it’s ladyboy students five years prior to this.

Kangsadal Wongdusadeekul, WINNER OF 2008 MISS TIFFANY UNIVERSE Thai Ladyboy Contest in Pattaya, Thailand.

Nong Noang (her nickname) pictured above has won the title, Miss Tiffany Universe and judged to be the most beautiful ladyboy in Thailand – which really means, on the planet. Who can compare with Thai ladyboys except maybe Japan?

Here is a video of the winner during the announcement and receiving her crown. Tears were shed… how wonderful! (hahah):

Thirty ladyboys made it to the final. Their photos are below. Can you believe these are all (or once were) males???? I cannot. I can’t pick 5 out of the 30 and call them masculine enough to be a male.

Miss Noang has won 100K Thai baht as the grand prize and a new car, a Honda Jazz. The 2nd place finisher grabbed 40,000b cash and the 3rd place won 20,000b and some pats on the back.

Before the final votes were cast Nong Noang was asked this question:

“If you win the Miss Tiffany Universe 2008 contest, who is the first person you are going to meet the next morning, and what will you to say to that person?”.

She said, she’d meet her parents first thing in the morning to thank them for giving birth to her and for always being there and supporting her throughout her life, for standing by her every decision.

Guess that was good enough for the judges!
