Who makes up these titles? Is there even one native English speaker in the group that can say – uhm, hey – that makes no sense at all…
Apparently not.
There was a swimsuit competition of 30 Thai ladyboys in Pattaya. I caught some of it on TV last night. There were a number of katoeys that looked heaps better than the 20 year old girl that won (#13). How she won – I won’t guess.
Ladyboys are really funny to watch strut around… it’s a game to them sure, but it’s still so funny to see them prancing around like little princesses.

From Pattaya City Online Newspaper…
2 (Thai Shemales) arrested following Russian Necklace Snatch.
In the early hours of Monday Morning (2/4/08), Pattaya’s Tourist Police dealt with a case of suspected theft which occurred at the North End of Pattaya Beach Road. At the scene, Police were met by Mr. Lladimiri Ivanov aged 30 from Russia who explained that he had approached two transsexuals on the beach and invited them back to his room. As the two transsexuals approached Mr. Ivanov, one of them allegedly snatched a gold necklace from around Mr. Ivanov’s neck. As the pair attempted to escape on a motorbike, Mr. Ivanov gave chase and managed to detain the two transsexuals later named as Khun Tiragon aged 26 and Khun Chalermwoot aged 28. At the Police Station the two confessed to the theft and were locked up pending a court appearance.
I posted two photos here – there are four more at the site of the original article. Would you ask these two back to YOUR room? These Russian guys must have been smashed!

A little while back I filmed this Thai katoey volleyball player with fairy wings stuck on his shoulder blades. He’s the guy that’s hitting the first couple spikes and then I zoom quickly on his back and the wings – but you must be watching closely to see them. The katoey’s fairy wings are LARGE, but you must be watching as the scene disappears quickly.
There are some good katoey volleyball players in the country. I’ve heard that a group of katoeys won the national Thailand championship some time ago. Not sure if that’s true, but that’s the rumor…
