LADYBOY or Lady, You Choose…

Can you choose from a photo which is a ladyboy and which is a real girl? I’d say impossible.I thought I’d put up some photos and let you choose between them to identify Ladyboy or Lady. I know it’s difficult in a photo sometimes, but you wouldn’t believe that in person it is often VERY challenging.

The game gets good if you are out drinking and you haven’t seen ANY ladyboys (katoeys) the entire night… and then you strike up a conversation with a girl that you’re slowly getting into. You’re probably picturing taking her home, she’s quiet, nice, attractive, makeup… She is flirty and yet not coming on too strong.

She might have friends that are obviously girls and there is no question of that. That is where guys can get really fooled. I was fooled once in Isaan after exiting a club about 2am. I was milding flying on 100 Pipers whiskey but really not that badly that I was walking funny or mumbling. A girl called out to me from in front of me, “Hello, how did you enjoy the club?” I was taken aback, she was beautiful… small petite body, long curly hair to her waist… very little makeup or none - and just smiley and friendly.

She was a college student at the big university close by and I had never seen a university college student ladyboy (shemale) before and so it never struck me as a possibility. After we had exchanged numbers and I went to catch up with my friends that had all stopped and were looking at me and laughing… I asked, “What’s up?”

The old Thai guy, my fabulous friend that helped me do everything in Thailand possible told me that he was 98% sure the girl I was talking with, then openly flirting with in front of hundreds of people exiting the dance club, was a guy. A katoey.

I insisted 14 times that there wasn’t ANY possibility of that, and yet the more I insisted the more I rationally looked at my 60 year old Thai friend that had BEEN THERE - everywhere. This guy was on the ball about people. He knew people. I’d guess he knew katoeys from a good distance away too.

I resisted for about 3 days until I worked up the nerve to call her at her mobile number.

The MAN that answered the phone could NOT have been the girl that I talked to that night. Just COULDN’T have been…

And yet, I had to admit…

So, have a look at the girls here in these photos and tell me what you think - ladyboy or manboy?

Ladyboy Polls starting in right column

Results of the last poll were pretty in favor of readers believing they could be fooled by ladyboys.

I’m glad to see that result because it’s so true. There are so many ways that one can tell a man dressing up as a lady. I’ve given maybe 20 things to look for in articles I’ve written on my blog as well as this ladyboy blog and still - I can be fooled. I think the biggest clue for me is the environment I see the ladyboy in. If she’s surrounded by other ladyboys I know - ladyboy. If she’s with a couple girl friends - I think, lady, if she’s passable.

For me environment, other than the obvious physical clues like hair growing out of the fingers to obscene lengths, is the biggest and most reliable clue. If you’re on Soi 6t off beach road in Pattaya and you’re unsure what you’re looking at - go ahead and guess that it’s a ladyboy. There’s many around there. If you’re in a mall in bright lights and you see 3 girls together and they all look like girls - you’re 95% sure, then yep, you’re sure. In any group of 3 ladyboys there is always one that blows their cover.

That’s a good rule of thumb.

If you see 1 girl/ladyboy that you’re unsure of - then - good odds it’s either one.

If you see 2 together, and they both look like girls - and you’re almost sure… then they are likely girls (85%).

If you see 3 together and they all look like girls without exception - then 95% chance - they’re all girls.

If you see 4 together and they all look like girls - 99+% they are all girls.

If, at any time you see one in a group that is a ladyboy without doubt - the whole group is dubious and you should consider them ALL ladyboys until you’ve done some more recon.

Does that make any sense?
